YJ Fanfiction: Revelations pt 3

“We are responsible for the attacks on your cities” Count Vertigo announced as the camera zoomed in. “If you wish to save them, a ransom of 10 billion American dollars is required.” The team listened stoically, Breeze unconsciously returned to her sister’s side. “Delivery instructions have been sent to the united nations. There is no time limit, but the longer your governments wait-“
Joker turned the camera back on himself “The more we get to have our…Jollies!” he laughed manically before the screen cut out.
“Roger that Aquaman, you will prepare the ransom as a fallback. But it wont come to that” Batman spoke into his earpiece.
The rest of the team gathered around Robin who rewound the tape to list off the members of the Injustice League “Count Vertigo, the Joker, Poison Ivy, Ultra Humanite, Atomic skull, Black Atom, Wotan, 7 heavy hitters.” Robin’s voice was higher pitched with the slight edge of worry. “Probably behind everything and everyone we’ve faced.”
“There’s your secret society” Breeze pointed out.
“Not so secret any more” Artemis commented.
“Perhaps after India, they realized we would deduce the truth and saw no point in hiding any longer.” Reasoned Aqualad.
“Yeah? That was their mistake.” Wally smiled “Right now, I say we go kick some plant creature butt!” Wally smacked his hand and fist together.
“The Justice League will handle the plants” Batman informed him. “I have a different job for this team.”
“Aw man!” Wally whined, receiving a punch in the arm from Artemis.  
“The plants attacking so many places simultaneously” Batman continued “there must be a central control system. Your mission is to destroy it.”
“You realize what you’re really asking them to do?” Zatarra asked as he approached Batman.
“They’re ready” Batman stated.
“Ready? Ready for what?” Wally asked, receiving another punch in the arm from Artemis “Ow! Will you cut that-“
“Hello Wally!” Artemis budded in “If the big guns are fighting plants, who do you think we’ll be fighting?” she asked.
“I don’t know. I guess we’ll-“ Artemis pointed at the screen with the Injustice Leagues faces plastered on it.
“Ooooh” Wally understood.
